I went to Tunisia for 2 weeks last year. I had a wonderful time. It was March, so the weather wasn't great, but I didn't go for sun.

These are the salt flats that cover a vast area.

This is a gorge in the Atlas Mountains, that is so deep - you can hardly see the bottom! On the other side is Algeria and, as they said - "you don't want to go there!" Razz

A waterfall also in the Atlas Mountains.

This is a shot of a muslim cemetery taken through the window of the old Ribat ( an ancient fortress) in Sousse.

Here I am up on the walls of the Ribat. (I don't really have a hernia!! That is a bumbag I kept my money in!! Razz

If any of you have seen the film Life of Brian - this is the tower in Monastir that they used in the filming!

Here I have a 'tame' sparrowhawk on my hand...

...and on my head!! It's a very odd feeling having a bird of prey perched on your head, I can tell you!!

There was a Tunisian artist exhibiting in the hotel where I stayed, and he 'drew' my name in Arabic! I loved it so much that I framed it when I got home.

The dove symbolism is for peace Cool
