|
|
Some hot points to look for on initial e-mails from scammers:
1. They have recently lost a wife (3 to 7 years)
2. They are self-employed contractors currently out of the state on a contract.
3. Many of them are in Africa or the UK on these contracts and will be back in the states within 3 weeks time.
4. They almost always have a child, 7 to 15 yrs. old.
5. They will try to become romantic very quickly. Some are very good at it. Then they will need some type of financial help. They will offer to send a check or money order (these are bad). They will ask the victim to deposit them into her account and send them just enough cash back for them to return to the states. It will take 3 weeks to find out that the check or money order is bogus, but the victim will be resposible to cover the funds in her bank account.
An american dollar is tripple the value in these countries and they are making a lot of money sitting in cafes' with thier laptops scamming innocent people.
NEVER send money to anyone you do not know online because you are being scammed. |
