It's called "The Most Terrifying Video You'll Ever See" and while it's not a horror movie, it is rather disturbing. And it's sweeping the Internet.
The YouTube video is actually a 10-minute lecture on global warming, delivered by Oregon high school science teacher Greg Craven. It may sound preachy, but it's hugely popular and has generated millions of hits on multiple websites.
Craven delivers the low-tech, video treatise from his home in Monmouth, Ore., armed with a black marker and a whiteboard.
He methodically argues that the debate over whether humans caused global warming is moot; instead, Craven says, "the risk of not acting far outweighs the risk of acting."

I too believe it is a moot point, the earth cycles and always has. IMHO there's not a lot mankind can do to change the earth's cycle. That is not to say we shouldn't stop polluting or clean up our act - we should. But I doubt it will stop nature. _________________ see our backup forum here and register

Exactly GT.
The earth cycles and has since the beginning. It goes through warming and cooling trends that man has absolutely no control over.
Basic geology courses can show what has happened over millions of years.
Why only a 1,000 years ago the Vikings were involved in farming in Greenland. There was no industry, cars or anything else to impact the climate change then.
So anyone who thinks man is responsible and can do something about it is out of their mind and extremely arrogant.
We humans can not stop mother nature.
It's laughable to think that we can stop an earthquake or a volcanic explosion or any other natural event. |
