Used when you would like something to stand out. It is very easy on a message boards. When you require a line to be bold, yet to be typed, click on the B button (above the message box on this board). When you are finished typing the text, click on Close Tag. All the text within the tags will appear Bold on the board, after it is Submitted.

It would be the same for I (italics) and U (underline). All three can be clicked, type your text and then click on the "Close Tags"

This will also give the same effect.: [b ]text[/b ] (Space is added after the b so you can see how to do it. You would make sure there are no spaces. (alt+b)
