And don't forget the crinoline!! The bigger the better, trying to keep
it from showing under your skirt and getting in and out of cars etc.
Thanks for all the good memories, it brings back good times!! |

We are going to a 50/60s dance this month so have been looking around for a poodle skirt or crinolines - so far no luck and there umpteen thrift stores in this area of Florida. _________________ see our backup forum here and register

Ah yes, those crinolines! I vividly remember something really embarrasing that happened at an elementary school dance. The elastic on the waistband started to weaken and the crinoline began to slide down to my knees. Wasn't able to fix problem there so I had to leave the dance early. Seems funny now but I was horrified at the time.
GT - why not try search for a poodle skirt at a Costume Rental place, ie. someplace that would cater to the Halloween crowd, etc. |

Remember Snap, Crackle and Pop? Rice Krispies are still around.
Here are some little known facts about it/them? Or are they really little know?
If you grew up watching Saturday morning cartoons or just television on a regular basis then you probably know who Snap, Crackle and Pop are. For those of you who don’t, they are the three elves that have been used to market Kellogg's Rice Krispies to kids and adults for decades.
What you might not know is that before the 1950’s Snap, Crackle and Pop had a fourth brother named Pow. The marketing department felt that Snap, Crackle and Pop was catchy enough, so Pow got the axe.
Unlike the Rice Krispies blue box of today, in the 1950’s the cereal box was white. In the middle is a bowl filled with Rice Krispies and blueberries, and in small print, the words snap, crackle, and pop appear.
